Latvian! I actually know nothing about Latvian film. I actually know nothing about film, really. This was a good one, though. I had seen the poster and I was drawn in by the illustration. But since I didn't know what the movie was about I didn't really have any strong feelings for or against watching it. However, someone I know said we should watch this in theaters if we get a chance and then he made a comment about how it would probably be up for a day. Exaggerating of course, but I reserved my seat soon after.

I might try to go see this again; it's so beautiful. I was a bit annoyed because the people sitting next to me in the theater were whispering throughout it. For some reason whispering bothers me more than normal talking sometimes. Someone on Letterboxd said it was like a meditation and I love that as a description. I tried looking for the comment, but I couldn't find the original poster. We'll see if I can make it to another showing before it gets removed from theaters. Would recommend to myself.
